TONI BELL
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Toni is the founder of ABC CPA PC, established in September 2020. Originally from Missoula, Montana, Toni earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Jamestown College in North Dakota. Toni began her career in Gillette, Wyoming after moving there in the summer of 2001. She started as a staff accountant and eventually became a partner in the firm, building a solid reputation for integrity, expertise, and personalized service. With nearly two decades of experience, Toni now leads her own practice, specializing in accounting, bookkeeping, consulting services, and comprehensive tax compliance.
CASSIE MAPLES
Staff Accountant
With a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and as a 2023 graduate of the GALI program, Cassie brings 14 years of experience in public accounting to the team. Since working with Toni in February 2016, Cassie has worked across various areas, including bookkeeping, payroll, audits, and both business and personal tax returns. This year, she is diligently preparing to sit for the CPA exams, with the aim of achieving certification. Cassie’s extensive experience and commitment to ongoing professional growth make her a valuable asset to the team. When not working, she enjoys traveling across America with her family.
AMBER MERSEAL
Staff Accountant
Amber graduated with honors from Missoula College – University of Montana, earning an Associate of Science in Medical Office Technology. She has since built a distinguished career as a paralegal, bringing over 15 years of experience across multiple legal fields. In her role as a paralegal, she played a key part in a trial where a woman was found guilty of stealing $120,000 from her elderly mother with dementia. In September 2021, Amber relocated to Gillette and joined ABC CPA, PC, where she applied her extensive legal expertise and commitment to client service. In 2023, she further expanded her leadership skills by participating in the Gillette Area Leadership Institute program.
MATTHEW HINES
Staff Accountant
A Gillette native, Matthew graduated as valedictorian from Thunder Basin High School in 2018 before heading to the University of Wyoming College of Business. As a UW Trustee Scholar, he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance, gaining valuable knowledge and experience along the way. During a college break, Matthew completed an internship at A.B.C., where he developed a passion for financial services and accounting. After graduating in 2022, he returned to Gillette, and joined A.B.C. full-time. Matthew is currently studying for the CPA exam to achieve that certification.
MICHELE GORDON
Bookkeeper
Born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota, Michele graduated from Lead High School before embarking on a diverse career in finance and administration. Michele gained experience working at Wells Fargo Bank, Rochester Armored Car, the City of Gillette, and DOWL Engineering, further strengthening her expertise in financial management and operations. She joined ABC CPA part-time, providing bookkeeping services, and has been a valued team member ever since. In 2024, she and her family returned to the Black Hills, where she now works remotely for ABC CPA.
